Zufall Re-Elected to Cornerstone Board of Directors

July 20, 2005: At their global conference held in Merida, Mexico (capital of the State of Yucatan), Cornerstone International Group elected their new Board of Directors for fiscal year 2005-2006, which runs from July to June. Robert B. Zufall, Managing Principal of BZA SEARCH, a retained executive search firm based in Scotts Valley, California, was re-elected to Cornerstone’s Board for a third term.

He will have primary responsibility for Cornerstone’s Western USA/Canada Region (Alaska, Alberta, Arizona, British Columbia, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Saskatchewan, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming), plus he will actively participate with other Cornerstone Board Members regarding issues affecting this Top 10 global organization in its other seven regions of the world.

Mr. Zufall has more than 30 years of experience in Human Resource Management. He has held progressively responsible positions at Fortune 200 firms in the United States and abroad.

He began his career at the Beech-Nut Division of Squibb Corporation as Personnel Manager for a west coast plant. Subsequently, he held senior human capital positions at Frito-Lay, Inc., a division of PepsiCo; Amstar Corporation; FMC Corporation; and Joseph E. Seagrams and Sons. Prior to teaming with Ross Blanchard to start his own executive search firm, Mr. Zufall was Vice President of Human Resources for Atari, Inc., a division of Warner Communications (Time Warner), where he was responsible for both domestic and international organizations. Mr. Zufall has completed successful consulting and search assignments in such industries as consumer products, high technology, real estate, food service, and non-profits. He has successfully placed senior executives in virtually every functional discipline from MIS to marketing.

With B.S. degrees in both Manpower Planning and Psychology from San Jose State University, Mr. Zufall has written numerous articles and has lectured at universities and before professional organizations on a variety of human resource issues. In addition to starting up and managing BZA SEARCH, he started up and sold a successful Human Resource Consulting business which is operating today in Silicon Valley. He has also founded and successfully operated a restaurant in the Santa Cruz, California area (since sold at a profit). As past president of both the Santa Cruz Lions Club and Kuumbwa Jazz Center, as well as a partner in Sweet Science Productions (a sports and music promotions organization), Mr. Zufall is comfortable in virtually any discipline, industry, culture, or setting.
