Toronto is the fourth largest Metropolitan area in North America and the largest commercial city in Canada. We recognize that Talent is the differentiator in competitive economies and understand what it takes to attract the best talent, develop it and keep it.
Our Toronto office specializes in the Attraction, Development and Retention of Talent with a particular focus on leadership and high impact positions that are Canadian in focus and Global in nature. We specialize in finding game changers and hard-to-find talents.
Finding great candidates for senior management roles takes more than a large candidate database. The most appropriate candidate for the job is most likely working somewhere else and a hiring someone less than perfect can be costly. You need experienced consultants that are widely networked locally and internationally and know where the best people are in the market place.
We launch each search by developing a list of potential candidates from target companies. We commit to getting results for you in a focused, thorough, efficient, and values-based way. Cornerstone’s Executive Search team has been hiring great candidates for management roles in North America since 1989. We work with clients from all industries on a retained fee basis to ensure their critical positions are filled with exceptional people.
We use a state-of-the-art psychometric profiling system, which measures candidate’s fit on Key Success Factors. We also undertake an in-depth interview process and conduct thorough reference checks.
We offer a one-year guarantee on senior executive positions we fill. Executives placed by Cornerstone receive ‘The First 100-days’ Onboarding Support’ Coaching program, to ensure a smooth preparation into their new role.
Cornerstone is a global member firm of the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants. AESC is the official body representing retained executive search consulting firms worldwide and membership is only granted to an executive search firm that meets rigorous criteria. The AESC publishes a Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Guidelines, a Client’s Bill of Rights and a Client’s Charter, all of which are designed to help clients obtain the best value from executive search and to ensure compliance of the search firm with agreed and tested principles

The Methodology we use is the ‘GROW’ coaching model. It provides a framework and structure to the coaching sessions. This model evolved from one of the most influential books on learning and performance of the last 30 years, written by Timothy Gallwey and is called ‘The Inner Game of Tennis’.
It provides a framework for us to work with on generating agreed and documented action plans, addressing the agreed business issues/challenges and personal development areas, ensuring that sessions are structured and focused effectively.
Milestones to measure progress against the development areas are identified and agreed to ensure there are measurable ‘outputs’ that correlate with the ‘inputs’ from the coaching process.
- G – Goal – for the session/week/month/next 12 months/strategic goals.
- R – Reality – what’s actually happening?
- O – Options – what’s possible?
- W – Wrap-up – what are you going to do about it?
