Coaching Approach

I coach from the whole person perspective, including, if desired, both personal and professional challenges in my work with clients.  I use assessments and tools to deepen awareness and work with leaders to move them forward towards what they desire and where they hope to grow.  Confidentiality and accountability are the foundation of our work together. 

Typical Clients

My typical clients are senior leaders in organizations who have either been promoted into a new role or who want to improve their leadership competencies to be more effective.  They have a history of success in their career and desire to enhance that success through working with me to become more aware of their behaviors that are not serving them or their organization well and what they can do to evolve them.

Results Achieved

I’ve been fortunate to work with many leaders who after being coached have moved up in their organizations or they’ve moved on to a role with greater responsibility elsewhere.

I coached a woman who was a Senior Leader in Sales for a technology company.  Through new found awareness of her personal values and strengths she was promoted multiple times and after reaching the C level she moved on to start her own technology company.  And, she refocused her energy to include more time with her son, bringing her the most fulfillment in her life.

A CEO came to me for coaching on how to start up a tangible not for profit while leading a manufacturing organization.  My client thoroughly enjoyed his work in manufacturing leadership.  However, his passion for bringing children opportunities to be with nature was tugging at his heartstrings.  We worked together to clarify his desires and then build a plan for action.  He also wanted to accomplish this work with transparency about his progress while successfully keeping his organization running productively.  He is now grateful to be the Chairman of the Board of his manufacturing organization and the Founder/CEO of his not for profit.

Professional History

I have over 25 years of HR experience in multiple and diverse industries and cultures.  Prior to starting Propel, I led Human Resources at a progressive high growth global software company, which grew from 35 to over 1,200 employees over a 10-year period.  Since owning Propel, and when not Coaching clients, I work with organizations as a Consultant helping them achieve and exceed business results by providing services focused on leadership development and cultural transformation.

Credentials

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through Coach-Active Training Institute, a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation, a Certified Team Coach through the Global Team Coaching Institute and an SEIP Coach through the Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence. I have a BS, in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas.
