Results Achieved

One of my clients approached me to provide coaching for his team of senior directors relating to performance management and a few mid-level managers for onboarding after a major M&A. Through a six-month coaching program, I supported the senior directors in adapting to the new sociocultural environment, becoming resilient to tackle the challenges faced, and improving self-awareness to be transformational leaders to create positive impact on motivating the staff to improve organizational performance. I empowered the onboarding managers to identify their signature character strengths and provided training for them to sharpen their emotional intelligence, team management and leadership skills. The organizational goals have been achieved at the end of the coaching program.

Professional History

An accountant by training, I have worked in financial services, consumer goods, hotel and property development/management, and higher education sectors for more than 20 years. I am currently an independent director of an SGX-listed company providing leadership and strategic advice to a team of experienced executive directors on succession planning, appointment of key management personnel, performance measures and evaluation, remuneration matters, strategic planning, M&A, new business/market development, financial reporting and internal controls, equity and debt funding. I am also an Adjunct Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Accounting and Finance with Nanyang Technological University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I sit on the Advocacy & Research Committee of Singapore Institute of Directors where I provide advice and direction on the corporate governance practices in Singapore.


I hold a PhD in Accounting and Finance, five master degrees in business administration, investment and finance, higher education and business research, and digital education. I am a fellow member of several accountancy bodies in Singapore, Australia and UK. I am a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered (MGSC) Certified Executive Coach and Certified Team Coach. I am Hogan Certified and hold the MGSC Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360) certification. I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

My approach to executive coaching encourages new insights into the key capabilities and unique strengths needed to sustain practical behavioral change over time, resulting in the executive’s enhanced self-awareness, being resilient, better decision making, and continuous performance improvement. My coaching style is engaging, transformational, goal oriented and solutions focused. I build trust and good rapport with my clients within a short time frame as I truly care and passionate in supporting them, listen with an open mind, demonstrate empathy, and maintain high confidentiality. My clients appreciate my intuitive, practical but customized approach, sincere and insightful feedback, and holistic perspective.
