Coaching Approach

I believe the coaching process is a very personal journey for an individual and my role as a transformative coach is to facilitate such a process through ‘being in the moment’ leading toward sustainable behavioral changes and improvements. In essence, my role is to help leaders think more effectively and make better, more informed choices in order to reach their personal and professional goals.

My client portfolio is diverse by design, as I believe coaching can and does benefit everyone from all echelons of business and walks of life. I have coached business owners of international companies as well as senior leaders from the larger corporate organizations. Moreover, I have successfully coached heads of start-up charities looking for support as they step into uncharted territory. The common theme being all my clients are motivated and committed to continuously improve and see my role as a facilitator to achieve their goals.

Results Achieved

The CEO of a bespoke luxury guitar manufacturer had many ambitious plans for expansion of his brand and business. He was committed to maintaining the highest of quality of his products but lacked focus and confidence as to how he could build his business base. Through coaching, he was able to identify a process he was comfortable with as well as become aware of the skills he needed in place within his organization to have the confidence to take the next steps.

Through the coaching process I was able to help him develop his awareness as to what it was that was inhibiting his confidence and ability to move forward and develop strategies around this for him to build the necessary confidence in himself and his team.

Professional History

I started my career as a professional soldier in the UK serving as a Royal Marines Commando learning my craft in leadership and teambuilding in a uniquely challenging environment before moving into the commercial sector.

I have since accumulated more than 30 years of corporate experience operating at the senior echelons of international business that has afforded me the opportunity to build successive generations of world-class teams and business leaders over a very wide and diverse range of countries and cultures spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Over this period, I have built successful businesses for some of the world’s top branded companies including Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, The Gillette Company and Reckitt Benckiser as well as collaborated with leading Private Equity on high profile projects.

I have held numerous senior positions, most notably, General Manager of the Nike start-up in Russia, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific for Tommy Hilfiger and Senior Vice President of International leading the business turnaround of Crocs. I also held the role of Interim CEO for the PE owned Australian based international sports brand, 2XU.

More recently through my own business consultancy, I have advised a range of European and Asian based companies on their growth strategies.

Credentials

In addition to successfully building world-class teams and leaders for the past 25 years I qualified as a certified Transformative Coach in 2018 through the ICF certified Academy of Coach Masters under the tuition of Master Certified Coach, Ben Koh (PhD). I am also conversant in the applications of MBTI and DISC for both personal and team development
