With close to 30 years of extensive experience in all aspects of business operations and finally heading Global HR at NIIT, Shampi Venkatesh brings in a unique blend of Business and HR capabilities. She has successfully led the re-engineering of the performance management system at NIIT in 2012, from goal setting to the elimination of the forced ranking system of annual performance appraisals. She led many change initiatives for the company leading to transformation of the HR Function. She is also known for creating high performance teams through inspirational leadership and has been a strong practitioner of on-the-job mentoring and coaching.
Shampi’s consulting engagements cover organization culture, performance management, people practices and strategy execution. She engages with the CEO and the senior leadership in co-creating shared vision and strategy, leveraging people as a source of competitive advantage and creating a goal based performance oriented culture. Her consulting assignments are characterized by intensive and focused workshops, on-the-job mentoring for the leadership, operational advisory to the management and hands-on support on execution, wherever required. The uniqueness that she brings to the table is her ownership and accountability to the project road map and deliverables, with regular progress reports on status and her commitment to timelines. Shampi is also a Certified Leadership Coach (ICF ACC) with a PCC Marker Assessment Standard approval. She coaches MDs and CEOs of the small-medium enterprise, CXO and CXO-1 Leaders of medium-large enterprises, including senior women leaders, operations and functional heads.
