Ignacio Gómez is Senior Director of Cornerstone Colombia, Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. He is an Economist from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and holds a Specialization in International Business and Foreign Trade from Universidad Externado de Colombia, in partnership with Columbia University (New York). He also holds an MBA from ThePowerMBA (Global Online MBA).
With more than 15 years of professional experience, Ignacio has built his career at the intersection of executive search, talent advisory, and regional business leadership across Latin America.
He currently serves as Senior Business Director at Cornerstone International Group, where he leads executive search processes and talent consulting for senior leadership roles. He advises boards, CEOs, and executive teams on leadership identification, assessment, succession planning, talent mapping, and career transition initiatives, helping organizations align leadership capabilities with long-term strategic goals.
Before joining Cornerstone, Ignacio spent three years at SLANG (an MIT-founded technology company), where he led business development and regional expansion across Latin America, managing multicultural teams and driving significant growth in key markets. This experience deepened his understanding of high-growth environments, organizational scalability, and leadership development in dynamic contexts.
Early in his career, Ignacio was part of Hays Executive and Hays Experts, leading senior-level search processes in Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Ecuador, focusing on country managers, presidents, vice presidents, and functional leaders across multiple industries. He also held positions at the Colombian-British Chamber of Commerce and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Kutxa (Spain).
