Coaching Approach

My approach to coaching begins with an “alignment session” with various stakeholders involved to figure out the goals to be achieved by the end of the coaching engagement period. The first coaching session is called the “chemistry session”, post which we do a mid-session engagement check and the final engagement check at the end of the coaching period. Being certified on most popular psychometric tools, I use these and other tools as appropriate in my coaching intervention. The final aim is to help the client and groups discover their “true potential” while achieving the impact and results outlined at the beginning of the coaching session.

Typical Clients

My clients come from CXO level at multinational companies and include owners of small and medium enterprises. I have coached leaders from diverse industries and from different regions of the world including Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Middle East, and Africa. I have facilitated leadership development interventions across the Middle East and South East Asia. I have also coached senior leaders for successful on-boarding and integration into new roles. I am at ease while coaching individuals, “Group Coaching” for diverse groups as well as “Team Coaching” for intact teams.

Results Achieved

One of the senior leaders from the banking industry was identified as a high-potential executive for further growth and new responsibility. Over a period of six months, he was able to leverage his strengths was chosen as a CEO of the bank in his home country, with a tough competition among 6 candidates vying for this position. He was the first local to be chosen as a CEO of the bank in his country. This was a big achievement for my coachee and for the whole bank as well.

One client successfully transitioned from being a head of a manufacturing unit from west of India of a chemical conglomerate to heading EHS for South Asia. One of the key elements we had worked on was in the area of “executive presence”. He has now been able to build a high-performing team by using appreciate inquiry approach.
