Coaching Approach

I love to support leaders in reaching their goals and tend to follow the GROW model while exploring some of the many options that might be available to them. I tend to have a very direct communication style but like to assure leaders that my frank style is coming from a place of absolute respect for them and with the best of intentions!

Typical Clients

I enjoy working with senior managers and c-suite executives who have both local and regional responsibility. I use a combination of my own business background and cross-cultural awareness to support them in challenges within their teams and their own development as a leader. I am a strong positive thinker and enjoy challenging leaders to push the boundaries when needed.

Results Achieved

I supported a senior VP in a global organization to address his team relationship challenges and persuade him not leave the company. He since has been able to change his mindset, rebuild team relationships and is now on track to become the organization’s youngest CFO.

Professional History

I have been working in Japan for more than 30 years, and believe that this experience gives me unique insights into the issues leaders here are likely to face.

In addition to my career in investment banking, I spent 8 years in senior management – most recently as country manager for Lee Hecht Harrison where I was responsible for leading the talent development and outplacement business in Japan. This experience has added to my coaching portfolio by giving an extra level of understanding of the challenges that c-suite executives face on a daily basis.
