Typical Clients

Most of my clients are senior executives who are motivated to strive for excellence in leading their organizations to achieve better business results. They are diligent and have a desire to continuously develop themselves. They are open to address potential risks that may deter them from exercising their full leadership potential.

Results Achieved

One example of a typical client scenario is the Managing Director of a health care consulting firm, good at consistently delivering business results that exceed management expectation – yet appearing insecure and not assertive in dealing with his peers and bosses. Through coaching, he became aware of the reasons that triggered this behavior.

I helped him increase awareness of his emotions and interpret events that precipitate his emotions to enable him to behave more confidently. As a result, he was able to increase credibility with his bosses and peers and thereby standardized job ratings, as well as his leadership impact in team work.

The client later wrote: “Dr. Chan provides a brilliant combination of support and empowerment, helped me work through difficult issues and complex problems and find solutions that work in the real working world.”

In another example, I conducted coaching and workshops for the senior leadership team of a large multinational pharmaceutical company in China in order to help the team develop desired culture shifts and perform at a higher level. The participants, including Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Regional Heads, Business Unit Heads and Senior Directors, were made aware of both their strengths and the challenges that were holding the team back from being more productive and result-focused.

Through coaching and workshops, they were able to map out key action steps to bring themselves and the team to a higher level of performance. As a result, the team became more efficient, leading to improved business results.
