He has over 25 years’ experience in these industries, with his last role as a Business Unit Manager at Abbvie Pte Ltd. While there, he was responsible for the Sales & Marketing of Men’s & Women’s Health Products, Neonatology & HIV Medicine portfolios. Prior to that, he worked at other Multi-national Corporations including Bayer, Servier, Sanofi and Abbott Laboratories.
Aru has in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the National Healthcare System. He has extensive and well-rounded working experience, covering sales and marketing, brand management, key account management, sales training and people management. Hence, a balanced leader with good people skills who is able to steer his team towards achieving a company’s vision and financial goals.
A firm believer in teamwork, Aru has a proven track record of building high-performance teams with cross-functional collaboration capabilities. Over the years he has built up a broad network of contacts within the pharmaceutical industry and among doctors both in the private and public health-care sectors, making him a valuable resource in the Executive Search business.
Aru was a Financial Advisor with AIA, where he specialised in helping working professionals achieve their financial objectives through proper and systematic planning in Insurance, Investment/Wealth Management, Child Education & Retirement planning.
He is a Mechanical Engineer by training and also has a Graduate Diploma in Marketing. An astute learner who believes education is a process and is life-long, he continues his personal development by taking online courses offered at EDX.org and completed the “Marketing Fundamentals “certificate course offered by Babson College.
Aru has volunteered with SINDA (Singapore Indian Development Association) in running “Camp Break Through” to build up children’s self-esteem and confidence.
