Professional History

Manie is considered a Subject Matter Expert in Talent Acquisition and Leadership Development. In addition to her work as an independent Consultant and Coach, she has excelled in a variety of Human Resources leadership roles, providing professional advice and support across several sectors including financial services, IT, professional services, not-for-profit, retail, government, insurance, health care, steel and mining, construction, and consumer packaged goods.

As a Change Management Lead, she orchestrated a major change initiative to restructure recruitment services for a global financial services organization. As a Business Consultant, Manie worked with a social services leadership team to clarify and articulate their mission/vision/values. Once this foundation was established, she designed and developed a series of three leadership retreats to address key business issues.

In addition to ongoing professional development activities, Manie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University, a Certificate in Organization Development from Queens University and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with the Human Resources Professional Association and has completed Certificates in Instructional Techniques from Freisen, Kaye and Associates and in Behavioural Interviewing from Development Dimensions International. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) – The International Coaching Federation.
