Results Achieved
One of my success stories has been coaching the Head of HR of a company in India who wanted to work on changing his leadership style. I worked with him on helping him see a clear vision of what he wanted to be and then supporting him through the process of getting there. In his own words, ‘I learned how to deal with leadership challenges, built a high-performing team and provided a vision to guide and unify the team.’ Following his success in that role, he has been promoted to a bigger, group-wide role.
A Senior Sales Manager in a technology company in UK used her coaching sessions with me to figure out how she could make herself a more successful sales person. This was in a male-dominated industry where she was finding it difficult to network, given her family commitments, lack of ‘an old boys network’ and a natural tendency to undersell herself. She has since put a conscious effort into sales & showmanship with increase in sales generated and been acknowledged for it within the organization. In a similar vein, a Partner in an international Legal firm based in Jakarta used the coaching program with me to build a higher market profile (in order to generate more work) and to be seen as a leader internally within the organization.
I was hired by the COO and co-founder of a start-up who had sold his stake in the company. He found himself uncertain about what he wanted to do next and whether that would be within his current organization or doing something different. Through the sessions, he worked on the next career goal for himself and how to get there. He was able to find a new job in the country that he wanted to during the course of our 10 sessions.
Professional History
My career has encompassed various roles in Human Resources over 19+ years. I worked in established as well as new organizations in different sectors in UK, India and Indonesia. Over the years, I have advised and coached business leadership teams on an entire gamut of HR issues. I am described as a business results focused HR person. A major part of my work experience was with the oil major BP. Other companies I worked for include the National Health Service in the UK, L&T Infotech and Eicher Tractors in India.

Coaching Approach
My coaching approach reflects both my HR experience in the various companies I have worked for as well as my experience having lived in different countries. Having worked for companies in the private sector, government sector and a non-profit organization, I have a good understanding of different strategic and business issues across sectors.
As a Partner in Cornerstone Jakarta, I have to keep an eye on the bottom line of the company and this makes my coaching very business focused as well. I believe in coaching achieving tangible business results for the organization that has hired me and at the same time helping those I coach to attain their professional and personal goals.
Also having lived and worked in UK, Indonesia and India, I have the cultural sensitivity to connect with people of different backgrounds.
