November 29, 2007: At the 2007 Cornerstone Global Conference in Waikiki, Hawaii, a total of nine new member offices were introduced to the existing members. Three of these new members substantially beefed up Cornerstone’s presence in South America.
Cubas & Associates (Peru) represented by Manuel Cubas, Humanitas Asesorias (Chile) represented by Alejandra Aranda, and Logros Organizacional Advisors (Columbia) represented by Maria Fernandez-Jimenez, each gave presentations on the size and scope of their respective executive search practices.
Other new member firms introduced at the Conference, were from the US, Canada and Spain. According to Bill Guy, Chairman of Cornerstone International Group “All of these new member firms have gone through the rigorous selection process, required as a pre-requisite to becoming member firm. They represent the best of the best in their respective markets and with their respective areas of specialization.”
The Conference was well attended by a cross section of the worldwide Cornerstone membership including strong contingents from Europe, India and China. A number of best practice sessions were held, designed to bring expertise and experience from around the world in order to enhance the service offerings and quality of work for all participants. Sessions on reference checking, psychometric assessments, quality standards and general business issues proved to be of great interest to all.
Among the highlights of the Conference, were a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial, a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Centre, and an inspiring talk by Mufi Hannemann, mayor of Honolulu.
Larry Shoemaker, President of Cornerstone International Group, stated that “we are delighted with the level of participation of Cornerstone’s member offices at this annual event.
