How We Got HereCornerstone International Group had its genesis in the mid 20th Century when its original founder, William Guy, first established his small boutique management consulting firm focusing 100% on retained executive search. He was recruited in the early 1970′s by Korn/Ferry International (company-owned offices) and later in the early 1980′s by Ward Howell International( owner-operated offices). He recognized that client organizations were frustrated by having to choose between the perceived resources of a bigger consulting organization, and the personal service of a boutique consulting firm. He created a consortium that joined smaller consulting firms together into a larger consulting firm network infrastructure that became the foundation of Cornerstone International Group today. Today, Cornerstone International Group has approximately 100 offices in virtually every major business center, including key cities in developing markets and we provide global reach and provide local high quality services to clients ranging from the world’s largest multi-national corporations to small local companies. Simon Wan succeeded Bill Guy as Chairman and CEO of Cornerstone International Group in 2012. Simon has been a member of the Cornerstone International Group Network since 1999, his executive search offices in China has expanded across the Greater China region from the original office in Shanghai, and now also in Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Wuhan, thereby enabling Cornerstone to service most of China.
